Job Description

We are seeking a Safety Coordinator to support day-to-day safety operations across active construction project sites. This role plays a critical part in promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting field personnel through audits, training, and hands-on safety initiatives. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and committed to servant leadership in a fast-paced, industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and promote a strong safety culture on active project sites with 100+ employees
• Work closely with the Director of Safety and on-site leadership to implement safety processes and initiatives
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and company safety regulations
• Conduct regular jobsite audits to verify compliance and reinforce safety expectations
• Serve as a servant-leader and trusted safety resource for all personnel
• Maintain accurate safety records for site personnel
• Coordinate with internal departments to manage safety equipment and supplies
• Ensure safety binders, permit packets, and policies are current, complete, and accessible
• Maintain records and oversee inspection/maintenance of gas monitoring equipment
• Ensure all new-hire and annual safety training is completed and properly documented
• Assist with industrial hygiene testing, safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and hands-on field training
• Mentor and support field personnel on safety best practices
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance and adhere to all safety policies and procedures

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA and other applicable safety regulations
• Understanding of workers’ compensation, emergency response procedures, first aid, CPR, ergonomics, and industrial hygiene
• Petrochemical, energy, or heavy industrial construction experience or interest preferred
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and prioritize competing tasks
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
