TMC Transportation has an immediate full-time opening for a Safety Compliance Coordinator working out of our office in Des Moines, Iowa.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Provide administrative and clerical support for the Safety Managers as well as the Vice President of Safety.

Hours: Monday-Friday 7am-4pm

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Handle drug screen/alcohol and physical testing
• Reporting drug/alcohol to Clearinghouse
• Monitor, schedule and enter tests into system
• Manage supplies
• Maintain records
• Administer alcohol tests
• Manage random testing list quarterly
• Ensure compliance with DOT/FMCSA regulations
• Handle billing to accounting
• Maintenance and upkeep of driver’s license and record information
• Driver’s license updates
• Clerical and administrative support for the Safety Managers as needed
• Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

• Associates Degree and/or equivalent work experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word & Excel)
• Ability to function in a fast-paced work environment and tolerate stress
• Ability to plan and organize, attention to detail, problem-solving skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Must be able to sit and use telephone and computer, simultaneously, for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to speak and hear clearly in a high-volume telephone environment.
