Senior Electrical Engineer - Data Center Engineering
Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer with a passion for solving complex technical challenges? We're seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a global engineering team responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing data center infrastructure. This role will focus on delivering resilient, cost-effective electrical distribution systems that support mission-critical operations.
In this position, you'll collaborate with engineers, vendors, contractors, and cross-functional teams worldwide to drive standardization, innovation, and reliability across large-scale data center projects. You'll also play a key role in mentoring peers, leading technical discussions, and contributing to the advancement of cutting-edge infrastructure solutions.
Key Responsibilities:Lead projects with significant impact on infrastructure design, innovation, and implementation.
Break down complex problems into actionable engineering solutions.
Develop clear technical documentation, including design specifications, schematics, and reports.
Review and approve critical equipment submittals and vendor testing.
Collaborate with global teams to standardize electrical designs and processes.
Support large-scale technical events and investigations, offering recommendations and mitigation plans.
Host technical forums, provide mentorship, and foster knowledge-sharing across engineering teams.
Drive the adoption of innovative technologies and construction methods.
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering .
8+ years of industrial or commercial electrical design experience , with at least 5 years in mission-critical environments.
Working knowledge of BIM and Revit .
Strong understanding of electrical codes (NEC, CEC, etc.) and critical data center electrical systems (UPS, generators, switchgear, PDUs, ATS/STS, etc.).
Experience managing suppliers, contractors, and large-scale construction projects.
Ability to research, innovate, and implement new design concepts and technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in data center or mission-critical facility design .
Hands-on knowledge of medium-voltage distribution systems, controls, and automation.
Background in construction, operation, or maintenance of large-scale technical facilities.
Experience with fast-track design/build or major upgrade projects.
