About the Company:

Our Longwood, FL-based landscape architecture firm is seeking an exceptional Senior Landscape Architect/Project Manager with 10+ years of experience to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the profession of Landscape Architecture. They also can effectively guide and collaborate with others to create high-quality documentation for our clients and utilize advanced project management skills to drive projects forward to successful completion.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing design leadership and documentation direction from start to finish to ensure high-quality, innovative, and functional design
  • Manage the team to develop landscape architectural solutions in line with the client’s needs, project goals, and environmental impacts
  • Independently develop design solutions on complex projects with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Seek feedback to ensure design and technical solutions are appropriate (e.g., via design reviews)
  • Communicate with project and studio team members to manage workload
  • Foster client relationships and satisfaction through active engagement, responsive communication, and effective management of client and project team changes throughout the project cycle. Build and develop new relationships with clients and allied professionals to win new work
  • Develop and implement project plans, manage risks, and promote knowledge sharing to drive continuous improvement
  • Establish and manage project parameters, oversee financial aspects, and ensure project profitability while maintaining regular communication
  • Ensure high-quality technical outcomes by managing project deliverables, implementing quality procedures, and delivering solutions that meet contractual and industry standards
  • Build and lead high-performing teams by strategically staffing projects, managing workflow, providing guidance/mentorship, and fostering professional development while maintaining positive team morale
  • Drive business growth by leveraging project success, engaging in the development of proposals and client presentations, and utilizing Dix.Hite capabilities to secure new opportunities

Experience Required:

  • Strong graphics through computer programs and/or hand sketching skills
  • Knowledge of horticulture, plant materials, climate, and plant habitat
  • Fluent in AutoCAD, LandFX, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, MS Office
  • Ability to read and interpret design documents and identify and plan for potential risks
  • Advanced skills in project management including scheduling, negotiation, effective communication with project stakeholders, and technical expertise to move projects forward to a positive outcome
  • Leadership abilities including coaching, guiding, and motivating project team members
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving, and time management skills

Experience Preferred:

  • Knowledge and experience using Ajera - budgeting, scheduling, reporting
  • Knowledge and experience using Revit
  • FDOT experience

Education Requirements:
