Senior Proposal Specialist

Location: Garden Grove, CA (Orange County)

Work Environment: 100% On-site

About the Role:

As a Senior Proposal Specialist, you will play a critical role in crafting and managing high-quality proposals and related documentation. Your work will ensure all proposals are comprehensive, compelling, and align with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proposal Development:
• Prepare pre-qualification and bid proposal packages as needed.
• Organize and maintain file structures for project-specific Requests for Qualification (RFQ) and bid proposals.
• Oversee all RFQ and bid-related documents, including client-provided materials, internally developed content, and final submissions.
• Project Coordination:
• Lead the preparation of bid proposals, including scope, resumes, project lists, organizational charts, and support documents.
• Develop deliverable lists, timelines, and submission requirements, ensuring seamless project execution.
• Collaboration & Presentation:
• Work with internal teams to design and develop PowerPoint presentations.
• Partner with Marketing to implement tools and processes that adhere to Southland standards for future project documentation.
• Marketing Support:
• Collaborate with the Marketing team to maintain project data for press releases, project profiles, and case studies.
• Assist in coordinating media opportunities and trade show schedules with the Marketing team.

• Expertise in writing, editing, and proofreading content.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Proficiency in MS Office and MS Visio; Adobe Creative Suite experience is required.
• A proactive, self-directed work ethic with discretion and independent judgment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Marketing, Communications, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in writing, editing, and preparing technical documentation, including proposals.
• Project management experience is preferred.
• Background in the engineering or construction industry is a plus.
