Weitsman Recycling, a leader in scrap metal processing and industrial recycling, is seeking a Senior Purchasing Manager to oversee sourcing, vendor management, and procurement operations across our network of yards and facilities. If you have a strong command of supply chain strategies, vendor negotiations, and cost control, especially within industrial or recycling environments, this is a high-impact opportunity to make your mark.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead and optimize company-wide purchasing processes across multiple sites
• Develop sourcing strategies and negotiate contracts to ensure cost efficiency and supply reliability
• Manage vendor relationships and evaluate supplier performance
• Partner with operations and finance teams to forecast demand and ensure continuity of materials
• Track market trends in metals, machinery, and commodities to drive smart purchasing decisions
• Support capital projects through strategic equipment sourcing

What We’re Looking For:

• 7–10+ years of purchasing or supply chain leadership experience (industrial, scrap, or manufacturing preferred)
• Proven track record in strategic sourcing and contract negotiation
• Strong analytical and vendor management skills
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field (preferred)
• Willingness to travel to facilities and vendor sites as needed
