Senior Research Associate/Associate Scientist, Cell Biology

W2 Contract

Location: South San Francisco, CA - Onsite Role

Job Summary:

As a SRA/Associate Scientist, you will work cross-functionally with the antibody research discovery teams to support therapeutic programs. This role requires a strong background in cell biology, hematopoiesis, and/or immunology and technical proficiency in flow cytometry, primary cell isolation, cell culture, and molecular biology techniques.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work in a team-oriented environment to support the preclinical assessment and development of novel antibody-based therapies.
• Develop and execute in vitro primary cell-based assays to support antibody discovery and development.
• Interpret and analyze scientific data and communicate findings internally.
• Demonstrate scientific excellence consistent with our core values.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in cell biology, immunology, molecular biology, or equivalent
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in a laboratory setting is required; prior experience in the biotech industry is preferred.
• In vitro experience including cell culture, primary cell-based assays, multi-color flow cytometry, and molecular biology techniques such as siRNA transfection/evaluation by western blot and qPCR
• Background in hematopoiesis or pluripotent stem cells is preferred.
• Able to quickly learn new skills and knowledge on the job, work independently, demonstrate productivity, and deliver high-quality results
• Must be detailed oriented, well organized, and have strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
