American Overhead Door and Dock (AODD) is hiring a Senior Recruiter.

Position Overview:

AODD, a leading provider of commercial dock and door installations and maintenance with customers across the Tristate area, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Recruiter to join our team. Over the years, AODD has grown into a highly reputable service provider, offering comprehensive dock and door solutions. The ideal candidate will possess 8-10 years of solid experience in the staffing industry, with a proven track record of success in recruiting field talent, including service & maintenance, testing, compliance, inspection, and construction sectors. In this role, you will partner with stakeholders across a variety of departments, including HR, Operations, Branch, and Service Management. You’ll identify and source candidates, expertly communicate AODD’s unique value proposition, develop strong relationships with hiring teams, and uphold a diverse and inclusive candidate pool and hiring method.

Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Recruitment and Deployment:
  • Develop and execute recruitment and deployment strategies that align with the goal of organic growth and project timelines.
  • Collaborate closely with department heads and managers to forecast workforce needs and tailor recruitment efforts accordingly.
  • Leverage industry knowledge to source, attract, and select top-tier candidates with skills aligned to service and install retail petroleum, car wash equipment, and electrical equipment.
  1. Talent Sourcing and Networking:
  • Build and maintain a strong network of potential candidates, both actively seeking employment and passive talent.
  • Utilize various sourcing channels such as outsourcing agencies, job boards, social media, industry events, referrals, temp labor pools, and professional associations to identify high-quality candidates.
  1. Candidate Assessment and Screening:
  • Conduct in-depth interviews and assessments to evaluate candidates' technical skills, experience, and cultural fit for the organization.
  • Provide constructive feedback to candidates and the hiring managers to ensure alignment between candidate profiles and role requirements.
  1. Collaborative Hiring Process:
  • Collaborate closely with HR, managers, and project teams to understand project timelines, workforce requirements, and deployment schedules.
  • Streamline communication between different departments and teams involved in the recruitment and deployment process to ensure seamless candidate onboarding.
  1. Forecasting and Timelines:
  • Utilize data-driven insights and industry trends to forecast workforce needs for upcoming projects.
  • Develop accurate deployment timelines that align with project milestones, enabling efficient candidate acquisition and deployment planning.
  • Market Research and Trends:
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market demands, and emerging technologies.
  • Apply this knowledge to refine recruitment and deployment strategies and adapt to changing industry dynamics.
  • Data-Driven Insights:
  • Utilize data and analytics to track the effectiveness of recruitment and deployment strategies and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide regular reports and insights to management on recruitment progress, candidate pipeline, deployment timelines, and time-to-fill metrics.
  • Candidate Experience and Employer Branding:
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process, from initial contact to onboarding.
