We are looking for a reliable Sr. Construction Project Manager for the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center program to plan construction projects and oversee their progress along the way in a timely and cost-effective manner. You will be responsible for budgeting, organization, implementation, and scheduling of the projects.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion.
  • Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
  • Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
  • Select tools, materials and equipment, and track inventory.
  • Meet contractual conditions of performance.
  • Review the work progress on a daily basis.
  • Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
  • Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
  • Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licenses.
  • Analyze, manage and mitigate risks.
  • Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.

Required Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management.
  • Licensed professional in California, and/or Certified Construction Manager.
  • Experience as a project manager/construction manager representing owners of Health Facilities, Parking Garages, OSHPD facilities, and structural demolition.
  • 15 years' experience in the position working on complex construction projects under the jurisdiction of the County of Los Angeles and OSHPD in California.
  • Prior Design-Build projects experience in similar sizes and complexity as a project manager.
  • Environmental hazardous material abatement experience.
  • Management of building projects in similar size and complexity.
  • Evidence of satisfactory past performance, knowledge of codes, standards, and construction/engineering processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • LEED AP Certification is desirable.
  • Building Information Modeling, (BIM) experience is desirable.
