Job Description

We are currently supporting a leading residential real estate organization that is seeking a highly experienced and S trategic Sourcing Lead to oversee Facilities and MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) procurement across a vast portfolio of nearly 900 multifamily properties. This role is essential in managing a complex and diverse supplier base, optimizing spend, and ensuring the seamless delivery of essential property services and supplies from janitorial and flooring to elevators, pools, and fitness equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-functional sourcing initiatives for MRO and facility-related categories, including RFI/RFP development, supplier evaluation, and contract negotiation.
  • Manage and optimize a large pool of suppliers across categories such as janitorial supplies, appliances, signage, flooring, elevator maintenance, pool and fitness equipment, and more.
  • Analyze spend data to identify cost-saving opportunities, supplier consolidation, and performance improvement.
  • Develop and maintain supplier relationships to ensure quality, reliability, and service excellence.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with operational needs and technical requirements.
  • Drive compliance with supplier agreements and ensure contract adherence across the portfolio.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency and value delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management in the facilities management sector.
  • Deep understanding of MRO categories and supplier ecosystems.
  • Demonstrated experience of creating a new supplier base.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale spend and complex supplier networks.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in spend analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for driving results and innovation.
