Job Description

Tiello has partnered with an AISC Structural Steel Fabricator who is looking for a Structural Steel Detailer with expertise in SDS/2 software to join our team in the greater Athens, GA area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create detailed structural steel shop drawings using SDS/2 software.
• Interpret and work from blueprints, specifications, and project drawings to produce accurate detailing for steel fabrication.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and fabricators to ensure design intent is accurately captured in the detailing process.
• Review and ensure compliance with applicable building codes, standards, and specifications.
• Provide support during the fabrication and construction phases, ensuring the accuracy and quality of the steel components.
• Perform clash detection and resolve conflicts between steel structures and other building systems.
• Ensure that all detailing work meets project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Structural Steel Detailer, with expertise in SDS/2 software.
• Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication, construction methods, and industry standards.
• Proficient in SDS/2 software
• Knowledge of industry standards, including AISC, AWS, and OSHA regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality, accurate work.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with clash detection and coordination between structural steel and other building systems is a plus.
