Position: Lead Teaching Assistant
Duration: 6 month C2H
Certifications: ( CDA Preferred)
Locations/ Hours: multiple available among the Columbus area
MUST HAVES:
Teacher Aides (52 weeks) spring break and summers break:
• High School Diploma or GED.
• One year of experience in a childcare or HeadStart setting (ages Birth - 5) classroom, and knowledge of diverse ethnic groups.
• Nice to have a CDA credential or a state-awarded certificate that meets or exceeds the requirements for a CDA credential, are enrolled in a program that will lead to an associate or baccalaureate degree or, are enrolled in a CDA credential program to be completed within two years of the time of hire.
• The ability to use sound judgement to make well thought-out and informed decisions, the ability to apply knowledge and understanding, and use critical thinking skills to problem solve situations that involve several variables.
• Must be able to pass background test/ drug test and Federal fingerprinting have a valid driver’s license
Day to Day:
Insight Global is seeking onsite Assistant Teacher’s in Columbus, OH. The day to day will consist of assisting classroom teachers in planning, organizing, and implementing individual and group activities to meet the social, emotional, physical, and educational needs of infant, toddler and preschool children. You will also need to be able to observe and record specific behavioral data as described in the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework and routinely communicate observations and progress with teachers, program staff, and parents. Responsible for meeting Head Start performance standards, following the agency policies and procedures, and Child Care Licensing rules and regulations.
