Job Description

Team Lead – General Labor (Cannabis Facility)

Location: Camarillo, CA

Pay: $25/hour

Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week), Overtime Available

Start Date: ASAP

Experience Required: 1+ year of leadership experience in cannabis, agriculture, manufacturing, or a similar labor-intensive environment

Must be 21+ and able to pass a Live Scan background check (per California compliance)

Position Summary:

A leading cannabis production facility in Camarillo is seeking a hands-on and motivated Team Lead to supervise and support a crew of approximately 20 General Laborers working across cultivation, harvest, propagation, trimming, and machine operations. This role is ideal for someone who leads by example, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about team development and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily workflows across labor teams, adjusting task assignments based on production needs
  • Ensure team members are working efficiently and safely within compliance and SOPs
  • Train new hires and reinforce proper techniques for cultivation, harvest, trimming, and equipment operation
  • Act as the primary point of contact between labor staff and department managers
  • Monitor attendance, productivity, and quality of work across assigned team
  • Provide coaching, direction, and performance feedback to team members
  • Help resolve day-to-day issues, escalating matters as needed to management
  • Assist with production tasks when necessary to maintain team momentum
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety in all work areas
  • Ensure all tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner, while meeting compliance standards

Ideal Candidate:

  • 1+ year experience leading teams in cannabis, agriculture, food production, warehousing, or related industries
  • Strong leadership and communication skills; able to motivate and hold team members accountable
  • Detail-oriented with excellent time management and organizational abilities
  • Comfortable working on your feet in fast-paced, physically demanding environments
  • Dependable, adaptable, and proactive problem-solver
  • Able to enforce protocols consistently while maintaining positive team morale

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must pass a California Live Scan fingerprint background check
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must have reliable transportation to Camarillo, CA
  • Flexible schedule with availability for overtime when required
