Job Title: Transactional Attorney

Location: Orland Park, Illinois

About our client:

Our client is a trusted Illinois law firm known for providing high-quality legal counsel in real estate, trust & estate administration, commercial transactions, and business litigation. They are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Transactional Attorney with at least 3 years of relevant experience to join its team in Orland Park. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate law and transactional matters, including entity formation, mergers and acquisitions, commercial contracts, and corporate governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise clients on corporate structuring, governance, business operations, and compliance matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including operating agreements, shareholder agreements, vendor contracts, and NDAs.
• Handle business transactions such as entity formations, mergers and acquisitions, asset/stock purchases, joint ventures, and business dissolutions.
• Conduct due diligence for corporate and real estate transactions.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Illinois (or eligibility to obtain).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate transactional law.
• Strong knowledge of corporate governance, contract drafting, M&A, and business structuring.

Salary and Other Compensation :

The annual salary for this position is between $120k-$170k base. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
