We’re looking for a skilled Transport Engineer to manage 5G new builds, analyze traffic data, collaborate on strategic initiatives, and work with cutting-edge technology. What will you be doing as a Transport Engineer?

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly wireless traffic analyses across multiple wireless switches and hundreds of cell sites. Collect and analyze traffic data to project performance and growth requirements. Collaborate with other teams to ensure growth projects align with business demands.
• Track and manage transport engineering orders for 5G new build and modification projects in the Central Texas Submarket. Work closely with the latest technology to provide customers access to network components, including 5G systems.
• Partner with transport providers, implementation teams, Field/Switch Operations, and Transport Planning to complete projects.
• Complete network design for new projects as needed.
• Document transport circuits, paths, and equipment using CND (formerly Granite).
• Interface with operations and maintenance engineers across the organization to ensure alignment with company-wide standards.
• Collaborate with Network Planning on strategic initiatives, developing future technology solutions, and managing growth jobs for existing products that support network infrastructure.

What do you bring to the table as a Transport Engineer?

• At least 3 years of experience in the communications industry in a Transport Engineering role.
• Experience with lit and dark fiber vendors, their organizational processes, standards, and network portfolio maps.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project).
• Ability to quickly learn new technology and apply wireless engineering knowledge to new projects.
• Senior Engineer-level skills in troubleshooting, problem solving, project management, and interpersonal communication.
• Experience with CND or XNG/Granite circuit inventory database.
• Familiarity with Fuze project management tool.
• Experience with financial management tasks such as budgets, purchase orders, receiving, and business case creation/analysis.
