Job Summary

The Warehouse Specialist I plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient handling, storage, and distribution of products within our warehouse. This position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for receiving shipments, processing orders, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring timely deliveries. Collaboration with internal teams, vendors, and customers is key to ensuring smooth operations and high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities

Shipping & Receiving:

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
  • Process and document shipments, including packing and labeling orders for delivery.
  • Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.

Inventory Management:

  • Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and stock checks.
  • Organize warehouse space for maximum efficiency and easy product accessibility.
  • Assist in managing stock levels and reporting discrepancies.

Order Fulfillment:

  • Pick, pack, and stage orders for shipment according to customer requirements.
  • Ensure orders are complete and meet quality standards before dispatch.
  • Coordinate with the sales and logistics teams to resolve any order discrepancies.

Warehouse Operations & Safety:

  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Follow company safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment.
  • Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
  • Occasionally assist with deliveries using a flatbed truck.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous warehouse or logistics experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (100+ lbs) regularly.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
  • Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, inventory software).
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record preferred.

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse, shipping, or receiving role preferred.
