Job Description

Automotive Mechanic/Technician

Location: Dighton, Kansas

Position Type: Full-Time

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Mechanic/Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of automotive issues, focusing on domestic light trucks, SUVs, and cars. The candidate should be comfortable working with advanced diagnostic tools and willing to tackle various repair tasks, including wheel alignments and air conditioning systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair a variety of automotive issues (excluding specialized repairs like transmissions).
  • Perform wheel alignment services and replace related components using advanced alignment equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair air conditioning systems.
  • Occasionally conduct tire repairs and replacements.
  • Occasionally perform miscellaneous repairs on various equipment, including small engines, riding mowers, medium trucks, and agricultural tractors.
  • Utilize electrical/computer scanning, diagnosing, and programming tools for accurate diagnostics.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and customers.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an automotive mechanic/technician.
  • Training and experience in wheel alignment and air conditioning repair.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and understand service manuals and automotive specifications.
  • Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
  • Comfortable using a computer and telephone for communication and research.
