Milwaukee County is seeking an experienced, high-energy business analyst for initiatives within the
Department of Administrative Services - Information Management Services Division project portfolio.
Responsibilities will be to assist with optimizing use of ERP modules (Cash Management, including
Bank Reconciliation) and other selected initiatives to improve end user productivity in Finance and
Supply Chain. PO is through 12/31/2024. Project duration expected to be through end of
12/31/2024, with extensions possible.
Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business processes as it relates to the system and user needs.
Formulates business processes to support overall business strategies. Ability to communicate
effectively with users and departmental management. Experience with identifying solutions to
business problems using process reengineering and technology. Familiar with current and
emerging technologies and standards. Effective at following plans and completing goals on time
and on budget. At ease at working independently and able to perform a variety of complicated tasks.
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Required Qualifications
1. Five or more years of experience with business analysis or related area.
2. Understanding of business processes and process mapping.
3. Excellent communication skills including experience presenting to Executive Leadership.
4. Ability to develop, document and communicate effective business requirements with
traceability to test cases.
5. Willingness and ability to learn new technologies and take on additional responsibilities as
required by the position.
Desired Qualifications
1. 2 Years of Previous government experience
2. Six Sigma, Lean or Equivalent Process Reengineering Certification
3. Prior experience with Jira software
4. Prior experience with Lawson or Infor CloudSuite Financials
5. Bachelor’s degree in information technology with a strong Accounting emphasis, and solid experience with business applications.
Top skills and years of experience:
1. Five or more years of experience with SalesForce business analysis or related area. MUST HAVE SALESFORCE BA EXPERIENCE
2. Understanding of business processes and process mapping: Able to document the processes and process mapping in a format that is understanding by both business line stakeholders and by technical architects.”
3. Excellent communication skills including experience presenting to Executive Leadership.
4. Ability to develop, document and communicate effective business requirements with traceability to test cases.
5. Willingness and ability to learn new technologies and take on additional responsibilities as required by the position.
6. Able to present the functional systems for the project in a way that a business stakeholder can understand, especially when the stakeholder does not understand the system functionality well.
7. Owns and manages all scope items. Drives through each requirement to ensure the technical teams understand them, are able to estimate against them, and can successfully deliver against them.
