C++ Storge Systems Engineer

A world-leading global systematic prop firm is seeking a highly skilled C++ Storage Systems Engineer to join its Core Infrastructure team supporting a multi-billion-dollar technology trading platform. This role demands strong expertise in building and maintaining low-latency, high-availability storage and data processing systems deployed globally in ultra-low latency trading environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance storage and data infrastructure components written in C++ that meet stringent latency and availability requirements.
• Optimize and tune storage subsystems, including memory management, I/O operations, and multi-threaded concurrency to achieve ultra-low latency.
• Work closely with hardware teams to understand hardware/software interactions and optimize system performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including trading, risk, and research to build scalable storage solutions for real-time data processing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex system-level performance and reliability issues.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from design and implementation to testing, deployment, and production support.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Extensive experience developing high-availability, low-latency storage or data systems in C++ within performance-sensitive environments.
• Strong background in multi-threaded programming, concurrency, and synchronization techniques.
• Experience working with large-scale, real-time data or storage systems, including familiarity with memory management, caching, and data throughput optimization.
• Prior involvement in complex projects such as custom storage engines, trading matching engines, or similar data-intensive real-time systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in the financial trading domain or other ultra-low latency, mission-critical systems is highly desirable.
