Job Description

Position Overview:

Onward Search is actively seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join a dedicated team of professionals at a school in Snohomish County, WA . This full-time, in-person role provides an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on elementary students , helping them develop essential life and academic skills through occupational therapy interventions.

Details You Should Know:

  • Location: In-person only (no hybrid/virtual options)
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday
  • Hours: 32.5 hours/week
  • Caseload: 3 schools
  • Student Age/Grade Level: Elementary

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Occupational Therapist in planning and implementing individualized treatment programs for students.
  • Work directly with students to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and functional independence.
  • Support classroom accommodations and modifications to promote student success.
  • Monitor and document student progress, reporting updates to the OT and school staff.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure therapy goals align with educational objectives.
  • Adapt therapy activities to meet the diverse needs of students across multiple school sites.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in Washington State (or eligibility to obtain).
  • Prior experience working with school-aged children, particularly in a school or pediatric setting, is preferred.
