KRC Compliance Specialist

Full-Time

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Compliance Specialist to support our construction operations and protect the company from risk. This role serves as a key liaison between insurance agents, subcontractors, field management, and internal business teams to ensure all insurance, bonding, and compliance requirements are met accurately and on time.

The ideal candidate is self-driven, confident working with commercial insurance and contracts, and able to manage a high volume of communication in a fast-paced environment while remaining calm under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison between insurance agents, subcontractors, field management, and internal business teams
  • Manage commercial insurance documentation, including Certificates of Insurance (COIs)
  • Review contracts and insurance requirements to ensure the company is properly protected
  • Assess and monitor risk management exposure related to insurance coverage, subcontractor compliance, contracts, and bonding requirements
  • Identify potential compliance and insurance risks and proactively work with agents and internal teams to mitigate exposure
  • Work directly with field management to resolve compliance and insurance-related issues
  • Manage and track commercial bonds as required
  • Ensure subcontractor compliance prior to and throughout project execution
  • Maintain meticulous records and documentation across multiple projects and entities
  • Prioritize and efficiently manage a high volume of email and time-sensitive requests
  • Utilize Excel and compliance management systems to track requirements, deadlines, and reporting

Required Skills & Qualities

  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance
  • Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Proficient in Adobe (PDF review, editing, and documentation)
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
  • Self-driven with the ability to take initiative and work independently
  • Strong problem-solving and out-of-the-box thinking skills
  • Comfortable working with contracts, compliance language, and risk assessment
  • Able to prioritize competing needs across multiple projects and entities
  • Calm under pressure with thick skin in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional communicator capable of working directly with external partners

Preferred (Not Required)

  • Experience with COI management software
  • Previous construction or subcontractor compliance experience
  • Knowledge of commercial bonds
