Construction Manager – Cellular New Site Builds

Location: Downtown Indianapolis, Indiana

Position Overview

The Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing all Civil Works and associated financial controls, including scheduling, service provider (SP/ASP) management, and quality assurance for cellular new site builds. This role ensures compliance with Ericsson standards, processes, and procedures, as well as all federal and local regulations. The Construction Manager is also responsible for identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

• External: ASP/SP, Customer PM
• Internal: IM Lead, Project Admin, Project Sponsor, CPM

Responsibilities

• Assess and control charges related to the agreed site design.
• Ensure that:
• Only customer-approved materials are installed on the project.
• Civil Works guidelines and schedules are followed and enforced.
• Attend coordination and progress meetings.
• Provide on-site supervision in cases where there is a risk of service disturbance.
• Conduct safety inspections and ensure tools are in proper working condition.
• Solve Civil Works-related problems as required.
• Coordinate site activities, ensuring all disciplines align with project goals.
• Drive scheduling activities and troubleshooting efforts.
• Ensure compliance with technical specifications, including Ericsson and customer requirements.
• Enforce workmanship quality standards as per contract, Ericsson, and customer expectations.
• Ensure all safety guidelines and construction procedures are followed.
• Perform:
• Site pre-inspections and post-construction audits.
• Site verifications.
• Visual inspections for quality assurance.
• Prepare regular progress reports.
• Provide technical assistance to service providers and other vendors.
• Reject incorrect material deliveries.
• Report poor performance and quality issues on-site.
• Ensure proper interpretation and compliance with civil design plans.
• Supervise, coordinate, and monitor work with service providers.
• Lead the team with a focus on quality and results.
• Manage material orders, returns, and claims.
• Maintain and update construction-related documentation in Site Handler, including:
• Statement of Work (SOW) and preconstruction documents (NTP, RFDS, safety guidance, QA standards, etc.).
• NTP receipt verification.
• RFDS submission review and modifications.
• Civil acceptance document review, submission, and approval.
• Daily Civil Works progress PFA verification.
• Closeout document review and approval.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in job-related project builds of 500+ sites .
• Strong knowledge and experience in safety and work environment regulations.

Required Training/Certifications

The supplier must ensure that personnel have the necessary qualifications and certifications before starting work, including:

• OSHA 30
• RF Awareness
• CPR/First Aid
• Ergonomics Training (including required refresher courses)

The supplier is responsible for tracking and covering up to 40 hours of training per 12-month period , including training fees, travel expenses, and compensable travel time. Ericsson will cover time spent in required weekly safety meetings and any additional training pre-approved by the Resource Manager.
