Job Description

Russell Tobin's client, a world-renowned eyewear manufacturer, is hiring a Customer Service Specialist in Grants Pass, OR 97526.

Title: Customer Service Specialist

Location: Grants Pass, OR 97526 (Onsite, Pacific Time Zone)

Duration: 02+ months with the possibility of extension, Potential Temp to Perm

Pay Rate: $14.00/hr. - $16.00/hr.

Work Hours: 7:00am – 4:00pm PST, with training hours from 8:00am – 5:00pm PST

About the Role:

As a Customer Service Specialist , your primary responsibility will be to deliver exceptional customer service while managing customer interactions, processing orders, and resolving concerns. You will be the first point of contact for customers and will ensure they have a positive and professional experience. This role is vital for maintaining the company’s reputation for quality service.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Answer customer calls and respond to inquiries via phone, email, and chat in a professional, timely manner.
  • Process customer orders with efficiency, accuracy, and minimal errors.
  • Handle customer complaints and concerns, providing resolutions in line with company policies.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the company’s product portfolio to effectively support customers.
  • Communicate current promotions, services, and relevant updates to customers.
  • Regularly update supervisors and participate in team meetings to ensure customer expectations are met.
  • Record customer feedback, concerns, and complaints for proper follow-up and resolution.
  • Engage in continuous training to improve skills and knowledge for enhanced customer service.

Specific Duties:

  • Respond to and resolve customer inquiries through multiple channels (phone, email, chat).
  • Provide assistance with order placement, product inquiries, and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain high call quality standards (90% quality assurance rating).
  • Meet performance metrics, including a minimum of 8 transactions per hour (6 for chat).
  • Ensure consistent availability and adhere to attendance policies.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum 2 years of customer service experience in a similar role.
  • Typing speed of at least 35 wpm and proficiency with 10-key by touch.
  • Experience in phone communication and email/chat support.
  • Strong communication skills with a professional attitude.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
