Job Description

We're working with an emerging AI-driven company backed by over $23M in funding to help them hire a Data Scientist / Machine Learning Scientist. This is a critical on-site role where you’ll directly shape the ML and agentic AI strategy at a fast-moving startup redefining personalized marketing automation.

About the Role:

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in early-stage, hands-on environments and wants to build both the vision and execution of intelligent systems and AI agents. You’ll partner closely with product and growth teams to design, deploy, and optimize models that drive real-world impact.

Responsibilities:

• Research, design, and implement ML models for personalization, optimization, and customer journey orchestration.
• Build and fine-tune agentic AI systems capable of executing multi-step workflows autonomously.
• Conduct offline model evaluation, A/B testing analysis, and statistical reviews.
• Analyze large datasets to uncover insights and shape product decisions.
• Work closely with GTM teams to deliver insights to enterprise customers.
• Keep up with cutting-edge developments in ML, LLMs, and agentic architectures.

Tech Stack:

• Languages & Frameworks: Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, JAX
• Tools: Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, and other components in the modern ML ecosystem

Role Details:

• Compensation: $200k–$250k base + equity (open for discussion)
• Location: On-site in Palo Alto (5 days/week)
• Visa: Sponsorship available on a case-by-case basis
• Team: Small, high-impact ML team (currently 2 scientists globally)
• Interview Process: Model coding → DSA round → Hiring manager fit → On-site ML round
