FUNCTION: Work with experienced Facilities Planner Team, assist in space planning, programming, and project coordination related to furniture, finishes, artwork, signage, and related equipment, for personnel moves , reconfigurations, construction and renovation projects at new and existing workplaces including but not limited to office, warehouse and shop spaces.
DUTIES:
1. Fulfill WEC employee CMMS requests for workspace assignment, moves and furniture, to meet workspace design standards. Focus on chairs, desks and supporting items (monitor arms, task lights, file cabinets). Coordinate minor workstation reconfigures to accommodate these requests.
2. Coordinate items for furniture repairs, warranty issues.
3. Handle key requests, keyless lock repairs and/or lockouts.
4. Inspect the office or work site to document existing conditions and gather space requirements.
5. Track ergonomic and medical approvals (this involves fielding emails from Occupations Health, Safety and the client)
6. Back-up to moves coordinator (CMMS)
7. Manage and order workstation and interior signage
8. Assist Planners in larger projects: prepare layouts using CAD.
9. Perform post-occupancy inspection and instruct clients on the use and adjustment of space, furniture and accessories
10. Follow WEC protocols to manage documentation and files related to project, using SharePoint and Excel.
11. Support company and departmental initiatives.
ADDITIONAL JOB ASPECTS:
1. Must communicate effectively with Planners, move/add/change team, vendors, and internal clients.
2. At some project locations, exposure to noise, dirt and temperature extremes.
3. Position is based in Milwaukee or Green Bay. Hybrid position requires job site visit or in-office presence minimum 2x per week.
4. Will require travel to various Company offices throughout Wisconsin, Upper Peninsula, Chicago area, and potentially areas of Michigan and Minnesota, as required by project assignments. Mileage and travel are reimbursable expenses.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1) Associates Degree in Architecture, Interior Design or a related field.
2) Minimum 2 years of experience in a related field.
3) Requires working knowledge of construction, furniture systems, communications and data standards and terminology.
4) Requires experience using CAD and familiarity with MS Word, Excel, PDFs.
