High School Computer Science Teacher
Location: Dearborn, MI
Position Type: Full-Time
Grades: 9–12
Start Date: Fall 2025

A public charter school in Dearborn is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable High School Computer Science Teacher to join its team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about technology and education, with a strong ability to engage students in meaningful, hands-on learning.
Responsibilities Include:

• Teaching computer science courses such as introductory programming, web development, and AP Computer Science Principles
• Developing and delivering engaging, standards-aligned lesson plans
• Incorporating project-based learning and real-world applications of technology
• Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate records
• Creating a classroom environment that promotes critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration
• Collaborating with fellow teachers on cross-curricular STEM initiatives
• Supporting student involvement in technology clubs, competitions, or extracurricular activities

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education, or a related field
• Valid Michigan teaching certification (or eligibility to obtain) with a Computer Science endorsement
• Experience teaching or working with high school students in a classroom setting
• Familiarity with programming languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, etc.) – a programming background is preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
