Primary Position Responsibilities & Duties
John Deere Construction and Forestry is seeking a Technical Instructor. In this
position, the person will:
• Develop and deliver parts and technical certification courses for John
Deere’s compact construction equipment product line
• Collaborate with Instructional Designers to create training and materials
• Collaborate with Deere and Dealer personal to align training deliverables.
Required Skills, Knowledge, & Relevant Work Experience
• Hands on experience working with machine systems including hydraulics,
electrical, power train and engines.
• Demonstrated experience and comfort developing and delivering presentations
to both large and small audiences.
• Ability to work within a team environment and lead a team to meet delivery
dates.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Desired Skills, Knowledge & Relevant Work Experience
• Experience with construction equipment in roadbuilding and site development
applications
• Experience in the training and development field related to instructional
design, needs assessment and curriculum development.
• Experience working directly with heavy equipment customers and/or the dealer
