Position: Inventory Planner
Location: San Francisco, CA
Duration: 6 months of contract with possible extension
Pay Rate: $40 - $45/hr
About the Job
• Key lead on the Global Merchandise Planning team focusing on Business Analytics with the ability to take complex data and tell simple stories.
• Partners with GMP Director & Sr Managers on key milestones: Volume Alignment, MFP, and Seasonal Investment Review
• Leads roll up, tracking, measuring key performance indicators throughout the season in partnership with GMP leads
• Ability to scenario plan & build what-if scenarios to leadership for review
• Develop in-season cluster and product performance reporting. Ability to synthesize data into headlines and influence planners pre-season strategy work. Prepare and share out weekly findings to stakeholders.
• Own data for GMP team including but not limited to forecast loads, special projects, leadership requests.
• Ability to prepare and present data findings and recommendations to leaders through building visuals charts, graphs, and writing headlines.
• Act as GMP analytics SME with focus on developing planners’ capability so they can create self-service reports to make data driven profitable decisions.
• Stay current on data and analytic trends and best practices. Identify areas of opportunity to improve current GMP reports and dashboards. Focus on GMP process improvement and streamline tools.
About You
• Bachelor's Degree
• 5+ years of planning experience
• Interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse teams
• Strong analytical skills to interpret meaningful themes from quantitative data
• Well versed in Microsoft Excel (can perform complex functions) and open to new systems
