A high-growth MedTech company is expanding to support its market-leading products that have grown double-digit YOY for several years. The wearable digital products provide real time monitoring of a chronic medical condition that affects over 10% of the US population and over 850M people globally.
The revolutionary products provide personal, actionable insights, are easy to use and reduce hospitalizations by up to 50%. They are scaling up their insights and user experience research team to craft user-centered designs for this portfolio. In this high-profile assignment you will be responsible for defining the Ux for patients and healthcare practitioners using apps and cloud-based software products.
The Opportunity:
The Manager of Ux Research will influence portfolio development as you plan and conduct research with patients and physicians. You will identify user-centered design requirements for upgrades and enhancements to mobile apps and cloud-based software. You will provide Voice of Customer information to developers and designers so they can remain current in optimizing the User Experience for patients and HCPs. You will design and lead user experience studies, including ethnographic research, surveys and concept/usability testing. You will leverage your strong experience in user-centered design in this position, including in human factors and ergonomics and ideally, with a hardware product element.
Reporting into the Global Insights team, this User Experience professional will obtain deep understanding about users’ behaviors and attitudes, draw relevant business insights and present actionable recommendations for new product initiatives. You will select and manage market research vendors and work closely with internal cross-functional team members from Marketing, R&D, Innovation, IT, and Finance.
This is a high-profile role, including visibility and routine interactions with executive leadership. Your strong communication, influencing and presentation skills will come into play as you share insights and make recommendations. Travel is estimated at 10%.
