Performs the duties mentioned below to repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment, such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines.
Job Responsibilities/Duties
• Observe mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of trouble
• Diagnoses equipment failures and provides recommendations for proper repair course of action
•Dismantles devices to remove and replace defective parts and install unique functional and structural parts in devices.
• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments
• Initiates purchase order for parts and machines
• Ensure that all equipment complies with OEMs and Regulatory Agencies operating standards, Ensures proper equipment lubrication in compliance with OEMs lubrication schedule
• Administers Preventive Maintenance program from a computer system, Follows Preventive Maintenance Work Order procedures
Job Qualifications
Technical school preferred.
3 years minimum mechanical repair-related experience in a heavy industrial setting.
