Mobile Event Operator & Wellness Host (freelance/contract)

Location: San Diego, CA

Compensation: Per-event pay + Profit Share (Higher % for self-booked events)

SWET USA is a mobile wellness experience offering guided sauna and cold plunge sessions inside a custom-built vintage Airstream trailer. We bring the heat (and ice) to private events, brand activations, wellness pop-ups, and corporate gatherings—creating an adventurous, community-focused alternative to traditional nightlife.

Position Overview

We’re seeking a reliable, high-energy freelance Mobile Event Operator & Wellness Host to join our growing team. This role blends physical labor, logistics, and guest hospitality. You’ll drive our pickup truck + 24-ft Airstream trailer to events, set up the wellness zone, host guests throughout the experience, and manage post-event breakdown.

Key Responsibilities

• Transport & Setup
• Safely drive truck + Airstream trailer to/from event locations
• Unhook and level the trailer, secure stabilizer jacks
• Set up chairs, fill cold plunge tubs with ice and water
• Start and maintain wood-fired sauna stove
• Guest Experience & Hosting
• Act as the on-site host for sauna + ice bath sessions
• Greet and check-in guests, explain protocols and safety guidelines
• Monitor safety, comfort, and flow of the event
• Maintain fire temperature and cleanliness of facilities during sessions
• Teardown & Transport
• Clean sauna, tubs, and trailer interior
• Safely pack up equipment, re-hitch trailer, and return to storage

Optional: Sales & Event Booking (Higher Pay Opportunity)

• If you help bring in new event bookings (e.g. gyms, brands, private parties), you’ll earn a higher profit share on the events you source.

Qualifications

• Clean driving record & experience towing trailers (20+ ft preferred)
• Able to lift and move 50+ lbs repeatedly (ice bags, equipment, etc.)
• Background in hospitality, wellness, fitness, construction, or events
• Confident, personable, and presentable—comfortable engaging guests
• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a calm demeanor under pressure
• Basic fire-building knowledge (or willingness to learn)
• CPR/First Aid certification a plus

Schedule & Pay

• Freelance / Contract-Based — flexible schedule, event-based
• Pay Structure : Flat per-event rate + profit/revenue share
• Bonus : Additional % profit share for self-booked events
