Job Title: Printing Supervisor (2nd Shift)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Printing Department Supervisor for our 2nd shift (3:00PM- 12:00AM, Monday-Friday). This position is responsible for the overall production process of the department and the supervision of the Printing and Sheeting Dept. personnel.

Essential Job Functions:

• Supervise and manage press production, personnel, quality processes, and equipment for pressroom on second shift; anticipate problems before they occur to minimize downtime.
• Search for options to decrease costs, maximize efficiency, and reduce set-up times
• Coordinate work flow, and monitor and maximize pressroom quality
• Maintain department production and waste-control targets
• Manage and control inventory of departmental supplies
• Work with customers on press ok’s;
• Assist press crews with print production problems
• Report equipment problems to maintenance department for repairs
• Maintain and confirm all requirements for company’s FSSC 22000 certification
• Observe and report safety issues within the department and plant
• Assist dept. manager with vacation scheduling, sick/personal time coverage, hiring and firing
• Maintain and train personnel for department and company procedures.
• Coordinate print specifications with Graphics Dept. Manager to meet and maintain G7 standards
• Manage Sheeting Dept. by working with inventory coordinator and scheduler to meet Printing Dept. production goals
• Responsible for Sheeting Dept. production and personnel

Job Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years KBA/Heidelberg press experience. Preferably Large Format Press 7-Color
• Minimum 3 years work experience in a supervisor role
• Minimum 3 years of work experience and knowledge of spectrophotometry and lab color measurement
• Knowledge of FSSC 22000 and ISO 9001 requirements
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Bilingual English-Spanish preferred
