Network Engineer – Data Center, Cloud, WAN

As a member of global network engineering and architecture organization, the senior network engineer will design next generation network for datacenter & private cloud environment and create simple solutions to complex network. The senior network engineer will work closely with delivery leads, enterprise architects, and infrastructure engineers to build Data Center network and WAN infrastructure for serving global applications and users across many sites.

Accountabilities

• Lead architecture discussions and design issues by influencing peers, cross-functional teams, and IT leadership and formulate standards and detailed implementation plans.
• Oversee provisioning and configuration of network hardware and software components and ensure that the deployment adheres to industry best practices and security standards.
• Analyze current and future network capacity to ensure availability, scalability, and performance needs are met, and make informed decisions for hardware refreshes, software upgrades, and other capacity related aspects to accommodate increasing demands.
• Effectively present solutions and recommendations in verbal and written form.
• Produce high-level architecture diagrams and low-level engineering design documents.

Key Skills and Experience

• In depth knowledge and experience of the listed below network technologies is required.
• Routing and Switching: VXLAN, Cisco ACI, BGP, OSPF, SDWAN, MPLS
• Firewall: Palo Alto Networks, Cisco ASA
• Load balancers: F5 LTM/GTM, Anycast
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP
• Virtualization: SDN, NFV
• Demonstrated experience serving as a network architect in a large firm with emphasis on modern software driven networks.
• Comprehensive understanding of LAN and WAN topologies, Data Center and Cloud environments, voice, video, and collaboration platforms, and end-user device technologies.
• Proven ability in leading large-scale infrastructure builds and refreshes, consolidating and modernizing technology footprints, cloud integration and migrations, and network capacity optimization.
• Experience working in a global environment with stakeholders across multiple geographies.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proven track record of translating strategies into designs and plans that can be effectively executed.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline; 10+ years as a Network Engineer with 5+ years in network engineering and design experience.

• Lead technical discussions, driving clarity of complex issues and requirements to build robust solutions.
• Effectively highlight technological advantages and disadvantages from customer’s perspective.
• Identify technical win-win strategies from a business and technology perspective.
• Vendor certifications such as CCIE (Data Center), AWS Solution Architect, Azure Solution Architect.
