BlueSky is seeking an experienced Splicing Supervisor – Field Tech to lead and support our Denver market team, working primarily on telecom/fiber projects. This hands-on leadership role is ideal for a seasoned technician ready to drive accountability, quality, and timely execution in the field. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, service-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and support a team of 4 field technicians, ensuring adherence to project schedules and daily tasks.
• Act as the go-to lead in the field, facilitating communication between PMs and techs to ensure smooth project flow.
• Maintain a high standard of work quality, with a focus on testing, splicing accuracy , and closeout documentation .
• Monitor crew progress and performance, stepping in to address delays or quality concerns.
• Serve in a rotating on-call schedule for outage work (approximately 1 week per month).
• Be available for night work and occasional weekends as project needs arise.
• Provide hands-on support in fiber splicing, testing, and troubleshooting when necessary.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience as a lead fiber splicing technician or field supervisor.
• Proven ability to manage and motivate field crews to stay on task and meet project deadlines.
• Strong knowledge of fiber optic splicing, testing methods, and closeout documentation standards.
• Experience working on telecom infrastructure is strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and participate in an on-call rotation.
• Valid driver’s license (company vehicle provided).
