Job Description

Akkodis is seeking a Team Lead for a Direct Hire, Full-time Role with a client located in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This role requires flexibility, strong communication, and the ability to confidently guide a team of experienced operators. The Team Leader will act as a liaison between the team and management, ensuring productivity targets, safety, and quality standards are consistently met. Experience with HVAC components, CNC operation, and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) is highly preferred.

Salary Rate: $43,680/annum - $54,080/annum + benefits + (8-10% annual Bonus)(The salary range may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. )

Shifts Available :

1st shift ( 6 am - 2:30 pm EST)

2nd shift (2:30 pm - 10 pm EST)

**Plant is open 24 hours, M-F Must be flexible and available to cover if needed or switch shifts

**Sundays are usually on a volunteer basis if needed

**Minimum 2 Saturdays a month

Job Summary:

This hands-on leadership role will work closely with the Area Supervisor to coordinate daily activities on the production floor. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in assembly manufacturing and demonstrate the ability to lead and support a team of 8–10 employees effectively.

Key Responsibilities :

- Partner with the Area Supervisor to coordinate daily workflow and team assignments.

- Lead and mentor team members on the assembly line; support cross-training and onboarding of new associates.

- Ensure all assembly processes are followed according to standard work instructions and special handling sheets (SHS).

- Monitor production output, track KPIs, and support continuous improvement efforts using basic Production System principles.

- Troubleshoot line issues and reassign resources as needed to meet production goals.

- Serve as the go-to contact for shift-related concerns and escalate issues appropriately.

- Assist with quality checks, functional testing, inspections, and rework activities as needed.

- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and accountability on the production floor.

- Be flexible in responding to line changes or coverage needs across different assembly areas.

Required Qualifications:

- Proven experience in an assembly manufacturing environment.

- Prior leadership or team lead experience required.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to lead teams with varying experience levels.

- Proficient in tracking production metrics and using KPI data to drive improvements.

- Comfortable in a hands-on role, actively working alongside team members on the floor.

- Familiarity with HVAC component assembly is a strong plus.

- Experience operating or understanding CNC machinery preferred.

- Must be adaptable, a quick learner, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
