Non-Revenue Water Manager

Location/Onsite: Onsite – Oakmont, PA

A Day in the Life of a Non-Revenue Water Manager

As the Non-Revenue Water Manager, you’ll take charge of efforts to reduce water loss. Your role will include monitoring water meter data, detecting leaks, and implementing protocols to protect both employees and stakeholders. You will have a direct impact on operational efficiency, compliance, and sustainability within Oakmont Water Authority.

Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing and improving the Non-Revenue Water Program to minimize water loss
  • Managing leak detection equipment, including research, procurement, and maintenance
  • Developing and executing annual and long-term budgets for water loss prevention initiatives
  • Completing the annual water allocation report
  • Assisting with the responsibilities of the Distribution and Metershop Superintendents
  • Participating in on-call duties (weekdays and weekends) to support facilities

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in water business/distribution systems
  • Leadership experience and ability to lead a team
  • Strong understanding of distribution facilities, metering technologies, and plant operations
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to enhance operating procedures for improved efficiency
  • Comfortable working in various environments, including outdoor conditions and underground facilities
  • Willingness to be on call 1 night a week and 1 weekend every 5 weeks
