Lab Scientist Job Description

Our Lab Scientists maintain our orthopedic based bio-restorative biologics lab and process PATIENT tissue samples using strict sterile technique for cell based autologous bio-restorative treatment (this is not a research only position). They must enjoy being inside a lab environment for the majority of the workday.

Lab Scientist Requirements

  • Doctorate Degree (PhD)
  • Strong work ethic, responsibility, and self-accountability
  • Thorough and adequate training will be provided for all of the required tasks.
  • 2+ years experience working in a lab under sterile conditions required
  • Ability to travel

Lab Scientist Tasks

  • Handling lab specimens for processing and patient re-implantation with proper patient identification, etc.
  • Following strict laboratory techniques and Standard Operating Procedure.
  • Run samples using various lab equipment for research purposes.
  • Overseeing the proper work and cleaning of lab equipment and the laboratory environment to meet appropriate standards.
  • Maintaining lab inventory.
  • Autoclaving equipment
  • Other additional non-laboratory based responsibilities
  • Serves and protects the physician and practice by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, and JCAHO or similar standards.

* All of these tasks are completed under supervision of Physician(s).
