Construction Project Manager – Houston, TX

General Contractor | Ground-Up Commercial Projects | Up to $50M

Our client, a reputable and growing General Contractor, is seeking a skilled Construction Project Manager to join their team and take ownership of exciting ground-up commercial projects across the region.

This contractor specializes in delivering K-12, municipal, industrial, and government projects, with values ranging from $5M to $50M, and takes pride in building long-term relationships and maintaining a strong reputation for quality and integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of ground-up construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
• Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and resource plans
• Lead project teams, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to the highest standards
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
• Review and manage contracts, RFIs, submittals, and change orders
• Monitor project costs and ensure profitability targets are achieved
• Oversee quality control, site safety, and compliance with company and industry standards

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager on ground-up commercial projects
• Proven success managing projects in K-12, municipal, industrial, or government sectors
• Experience delivering projects valued up to $50M
• Strong understanding of project scheduling, cost control, and construction documentation
• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar project management tools
• Excellent leadership, communication, and client-facing skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
• Demonstrated stability and consistent performance in previous roles
