Job Title: Internal Consultant & Advanced Data Analytics Specialist (W2)

Location: Jacksonville, FL or Tampa, FL (Hybrid, 2–3 days onsite)

Duration: 12 months (possibility of extension or full-time conversion)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly analytical and polished Internal Consultant & Advanced Data Analytics Specialist to join a leading banking client’s Data Engineering Organization. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with consulting experience who thrive in data-heavy environments and excel at problem-solving in complex business contexts.

This role offers high visibility across Markets, Services, Wealth, Banking, Risk, Finance, and Compliance and provides a clear path for internal mobility into strategy, transformation, or leadership roles .

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with business and functional teams as an internal consultant to define problems, conduct analysis, and deliver actionable insights
• Analyze large, complex datasets using advanced Excel functions (XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, Pivot Tables, etc.)
• Develop executive-ready PowerPoint presentations and communication materials
• Structure ambiguous business problems into clear analyses and recommendations
• Support cross-functional projects across Markets, Services, Wealth, Banking, Risk, Finance, and Compliance
• Apply a consulting mindset to project planning, stakeholder engagement, and execution

Qualifications

• 3–10 years of experience in a consulting role at a Big 4 firm (Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG) or a leading mid-sized consultancy (Slalom, West Monroe, Protiviti, Capco, Point B, etc.)
• Strong data analytics background with structured problem-solving skills
• Advanced Excel skills (XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, Pivot Tables, handling large datasets)
• Advanced PowerPoint skills with the ability to create executive-level deliverables
• Banking, Financial Services, or Wealth Management background preferred
• Experience in internal consulting, corporate strategy, or business analytics roles within large organizations
• Strong communication, analytical thinking, and stakeholder management skills
• Nice to have: Experience with Tableau or Power BI
