Job Description

Our client, a commercial construction company, is hiring a Director of Preconstruction in Nashville, TN. This role will oversee the full project lifecycle from concept through construction, including preconstruction planning, design coordination, and construction execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead preconstruction efforts, including bids, proposals, and budgets
• Prepare and present detailed estimates and proposals
• Conduct quantity take-offs, cost analyses, and conceptual budgeting
• Collaborate with clients, design teams, and internal stakeholders
• Identify project risks and align plans with business goals
• Use construction estimating tools and adopt Lean practices to improve workflow

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of preconstruction or estimating experience within the commercial construction space
• Experience in healthcare/hospital construction space
• Strong knowledge of drawings, specs, estimating software, and field operations
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with Revit, Lens, or Destini preferred
• Must have valid driver’s license and be able to travel as needed
• Bachelors or Associates Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is preferred
