Job Title: Licensed HVAC-Refrigeration Technician

Job Type: Full time, Hourly

Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and reliable licensed HVAC Refrigeration Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and related equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of refrigeration cycles, electrical systems, and HVAC operations, as well as the ability to work efficiently in both residential and commercial environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, and maintain HVAC and refrigeration systems, including compressors, coils, ducts, and thermostats.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions in refrigeration and HVAC systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on refrigeration and HVAC equipment, ensuring optimal operation.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and local codes/regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of all service work, repairs, and maintenance performed.
• Order and maintain necessary parts and equipment for service calls.
• Provide clear communication with customers regarding service needs and costs.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and resolve them as part of system diagnostics.
• Ensure refrigerant is safely handled and disposed of according to industry standards.
• Respond to emergency service calls as needed.
• Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and regulatory requirements.
• Use CRM for communication with office staff, billing, and time sheets

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Trade school or HVAC certification preferred).
• Proven experience as an HVAC technician, refrigeration technician, or similar role.
• Strong understanding of refrigeration cycles, electrical systems, and HVAC controls.
• EPA Section 608 Certification (required for handling refrigerants).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs) and work in various physical environments.
• Ability to work in high spaces, crawl spaces, and confined areas.
