Hays has partnered with a general contractor in San Jose that has been in operations for over 50 years specializing in paving, grading, and underground utilities in both the private and public sector.

Your new role

You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the project from initiation to completion. Making sure to stay within budget and schedule restraints. Quality control and compliance will be paramount to this role as you meet both contractual and legal requirement, both administratively and during on-site operations. This role will also involve working closely with stakeholders, clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors.

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in project management, with a focus on wet utilities and pipeline project experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of wet utility systems, including water distribution, wastewater collection, and stormwater management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
