Job Description

Building Envelope Waterproofing Representative

The Building Envelope Waterproofing Representative (BEWR) is responsible for the sales activity related to Building Envelope Waterproofing & Deck Coatings market (waterproofing, air barriers, deck coatings, others as assigned by the manager) for their assigned territory.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  1. Meet and exceed sales budgets and be accountable to measurable performance.
  2. Build and maintain relationships in addition to formally educating and motivating our customers to include but not limited to, contractors, building owners, specifiers, and distributors.
  3. Collaborate and communicate effectively with other sales representatives in their respective territory who focus on other product lines and markets.
  4. Have a “can do” attitude and be a team player.
  5. Communicate clearly and effectively via in-person, telephone, and in writing.
  6. Be able to promote SOPREMA as a single source building envelope solutions provider.
  7. Utilize Salesforce to manager day to day business, territory business plans, and to forecast sales.
  8. Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to customers.
  9. Must have an understanding and knowledge of the company goals and growth objectives.
  10. Know how to get things done through formal and informal channels.
  11. Works within organizational strategies, structures and processes in flexible and practical ways.
  12. Stay up-to-date on industry and market trends. Accurate anticipation of future consequences and trends with a broad knowledge and perspective.
  13. Communicate and liaise with all corporate office departments providing a transfer of market information, market requirements and technical concerns.
  14. Sets challenging objectives.
  15. Become a technical resource.
  16. Can deal with conflict, ambiguity and information in an appropriate and positive manner.
  17. May require additional functions as assigned by the direct supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 5 years sales experience in the buildings material industry; preferably with a manufacturer, distributor, or as an independent sales agent.
  2. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  3. 5 years' experience in public speaking

Working Conditions and/or Physical Demands:

  1. Driving long distances (must have a valid driver's license)
  2. Climbing and descending stairs and ladders
  3. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
  4. Visit job sites and being compliant with all safety procedures.

Reports to the District Sales Manager – Building Envelope Waterproofing.
